About Enovert

Enovert is one of the UK’s leading providers of waste management services.  Our primary operations include 7 operational landfill sites, 2 composting facilities and 3 waste transfer stations across which Enovert manages in excess of 2.3 million tonnes of waste per annum.

Enovert is also a significant generator of renewable energy, primarily based on the extraction of gas from our landfill sites.  Enovert’s sites produce approximately 194 GWh of electricity each year – enough electricity to power 75,000 homes.

Enovert also provide specialist services for the management and aftercare of landfill sites including site environmental engineering, environmental monitoring, site restoration, landfill gas management and utilisation plus the development of closed sites for green space and renewable energy projects.

Enovert was formerly the landfill and gas division of the highly respected Cory Environmental group. Cory sold the “Enovert” business in January 2017 enabling Enovert to focus on landfill management, landfill gas and landfill site restoration activities.

Enovert continues to operate with the same stringent processes and controls, and to the same exacting operational standards of safety, environmental compliance and customer service as when part of the Cory Environmental Group.

Today Enovert continues to build on a legacy of providing safe and efficient disposal of waste by landfill and fulfilling the commitment to restore landfill sites to a natural environment at the end of their working life. In addition, by extracting landfill gas from our sites and by ensuring use of restored land where possible for other renewable energy, woodland and environmental projects.  We provide forms of renewable energy and environmental benefit that contribute to reducing the UK’s carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels.

We currently operate 7 active landfill sites  across the UK and also fully support the aftercare needs and restoration of a further 6 closed sites.

Enovert’s operations comply with all relevant legislation, official guidelines and codes of practice. We have an exemplary safety and environmental record and all of our landfill sites and waste management facilities are monitored and maintained using a number of robust and quality managed processes. The business holds accreditation to ISO 9001 (quality management system), ISO 14001 (environmental system) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety management system).

With careful management, our aim is to fully restore each landfill site to the highest standards to ensure that it blends in with and enhances the surrounding landscape, encouraging biodiversity and creates valuable amenities for local communities.
